I feel like future seasons of the show are gonna be much less mysterious than this first season. Seems like it may morph into an Old West version of The Matrix, but this time we're rooting for the robots.
So, spoilers abound below here for anyone not up to date...
I think the Ed Harris = McPoyle reveal was handled too dramatically given how clear and obvious it seemed to everybody that it was coming. It's gotta be tough for the showrunners to predict if fans will detect a twist or not, lots of other ones seemed pretty clear but were still revealed in an interesting manner that made them fun to watch. The conversation with Delores with Ed Harris recapping in third person felt really tone deaf because of how unsurprising it was. I think it would've been better if he was shocked that Delores didn't recognize him, like, "of course I'm William haven't you been paying attention?" kind of thing.
Everything else I liked. Watching Hector and that other lady marvel at how great their new guns were was really fun. I think I saw Ford's ending coming but didn't think Delores would turn the gun on the crowd. Also loved the "it's complicated" response when all the hosts saw the Samurais preparing for another differently themed park (and now we know there must be multiple from Maeve's note giving her daughter's location) and wondered what the hell they were. I remain willing to forgive the show some of the sillier, "oh come on" elements, like how the hell Maeve just walked on and off of that train in the middle of a security crisis.

The whole thing of Maeve's escape just being another story was really awesome. Totally didn't see that coming.

Did she break code by getting off the train? I was hoping season two would include her trying to take in the real world.

Yea. She was supposed to go to the "real world"

I think it represented a moment of true free will, as her programming advised her to escape. Though the memory of her daughter is also part of the code so...

Yep. No impact to the story, but some sweet action.

Just binged watched it this week. Good series. A little more repetition early on though. Felt like you were watching the same episode for the first few.
This is sort of a key element to the series

I'm pretty sure Comcast's Watchathon is this week (free HBO?) so I'm hoping to binge-watch Season 1 of this.
