So did anybody else check this out? There was alot in there I liked and really no complaints from me after the first episode. I thought the premiere did a great job of laying the groundwork for the premise of the show and pulled you in pretty quickly. Lots of great performances but my favorite might have been Ed Harris as The Man In Black.

An interesting conceptualized world.

On a side note, is there a no more accomplished actor than Anthony Hopkins who has only ever had one noteworthy performamce?

The general premise of the show isn't really anything new, but it has me very interested nonetheless.
May have to watch the old movie some time after the first season.

The Paint It Black (EDIT: instrumental or orchestral) was also cool.

The Paint It Black acoustic was also cool.
The actor who plays the bandit it the same guy who played Xerxes in 300 and Paulo (probably the most hated character ever) on lost. He definitely came off like a bad as in that scene though.

Just finished the pilot. Great stuff. A ton going on there. Not usually a fan of westerns or SciFi primarily, but this is incredibly intriguing and well done so far.

Watching episode one it seemed like there were many homages being paid to Red Dead Redemption (which of course paid homage to a lot of western movies.)
And lo- http://www.polygon.c...-auto-nycc-2016
Shit, they even have James Marsden/ John Marston.

I think you mean instrumental or orchestral, but yeah, that was dope.

I wasn't paying close enough attention at first I guess, but they also gave Anthony Hopkins the character name of "Robert Ford." Thats really too on the nose. Hmmm, is he a coward machine of fate? Ya think?
Edit: The real Robert Ford eventually made his livelihood staging plays of the west and his killing of James.

Now watching episode 2. "No Surprises" being played by the old timey piano was a nice, uh, surprise.

I don't know where this is going, but its wild.
I still can't get over the "Robert Ford" thing though.
