Grumble...dominated is a terrible word choice to describe Akin's performance at AA. It was good. But a 23 y/o with a 3.27 ERA is not dominating. Nor can his 9.3 K/9, 7.5 H/9, 1.0 HR/9 or 3.8 BB/9 rates be considered dominant.

Got to cut down on the free passes.

I am hoping, at least in part, the walk rate was influenced by the demand that he throw his secondary pitches more

A prospect? I'm shocked!

I guess he is taking Means spot.

I expect that we see Akin, pitch behind Wojo the today.

Was really hoping he was going to get the start against Strasburg. But like we've mentioned on The Verge a few times, letting Akin and some of these other prospect arms come behind LeBlanc/Milone/Wojo could make for some really legitimate outings.

I'd like to do the inverse and have Akin, Kremer, Baumann starting... and have the vets behind them in the tandem capacity.

Either way, watching hitters go from Baumann's 95+ heat to Milone's changeup, or the other way around, would be so much fun to watch.
