MASN: Brady Anderson on Hyun Soo Kim: "He hits line drive after line drive"
It's always interesting to me to hear what Brady talks about and what he doesn't.... I wish we heard more from him...

I wonder if I could make it through a single one of Brady's workouts.

I think I would get tired just watching it.

Yeah Brady has always been a good listen. He has learned how to spin things though.
I am anxious to see Kim. If he can be a .275/360 OBP guy, he could really help our lineup.
Not sure hitting line drive after line drive against Brady is something to headline but it is February.

What else did they expect the Orioles brass to say?
lol, true enough. I'm looking forward to seeing him. If he's an average LF, that's going to be real nice value. It will be an adjustment for him (higher talent, new culture, additional travel, the specialty relievers, etc)... the thing to watch will be how he adjusts to the adjustments the league makes to him after seeing him a bit.
Can he avoid a prolonged slump?
One nice thing if Fowler is signed, is that Kim will likely bat near the bottom of the lineup, lowering some of the immediate pressure on him.

He's looks like a big boy for a native Asian... I'm guessing he grew up eating less rice than is traditional in Korea, and more bread and noodles instead... (although that's probably true for Korean folks in general since they industrialized...)

Interesting to note that Buck said Brady was basically responsible for Kim.
Brady's business card should read "Jack of all trades".

Every time this thread gets bumped, I expect to read "Kim out six to eight months with undisclosed shoulder injury".

Finally saw this guy yesterday. He is awful. I am not overreacting, he is not a starter, we got hosed. He misplayed a ball that made me feel good about myself when I play OF in softball, terrible. He is completely overmatched. The dirty little secret is out, the Orioles knew he wasn't and why they wanted Fowler. Now, the Orioles have 2 holes and Duquette needs to get someone in here, and quick.

Over-react much?

Obviously they wanted to upgrade, which is why they tried to get Fowler. Why they haven't signed or traded for another OF boggles my mind.
Makes no sense. They and we know they have a need. But they're just, pretending they dont all of sudden?
Yep, I'm sure that's exactly what's happening. Probably shut off the phone lines into the building, too, since they weren't going to bother using them.

Well, he nailed 2 shots today in his first 2 AB's and is 0-2. Maybe he's coming around.
