Nice to see him hit the ball with authority of late.

Another guy that should get consistent playing time until he shows he's not deserving of it.

This weekend was obviously a positive step in that direction... Especially with him batting 2nd which really surprised me. Keep giving him the AB's. Agreed.

I understand the players giving him the business after his 1st ML dinger... but I kinda wish Buck had slapped his hand instead of ignoring him...

He's a little brown hitting machine.

Dont understand why teams aren't consistently busting him in hard with fastballs. Pitchers just dont know how to or are to afraid to pitch inside anymore.

I was going to post here yesterday but didn't. And then Kim decided to go and have himself a game last night. Have we decided that Kim is legit yet? is this sustainable?

If so, do apologies need to be doled out to our "scouts" who were absolutely scathed in spring training by posters here for the ineptitude. do those guys get to keep their jobs now?

2. Remember when the Orioles wanted to dump Hyun Soo Kim? Kim looked so bad in spring training the Orioles reportedly tried to sell him back to Korea. They wanted to send him down to Triple-A, but Kim had a clause in his contract giving him the right to refuse a demotion and he exercised it. So the O's reluctantly kept him and began the season with Rule 5 pick Joey Rickard in left field. Well, after another big night against the Padres, including his second home run, Kim is hitting .347/.434/.466 in over 100 plate appearances. He looks like he can hit. It looked like a signing with some good upside when it was made, and now Kim is justifying the Orioles' original assessment of him. Reminder: THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T MAKE DECISIONS BASED ON SPRING TRAINING!

He's my favorite Oriole (I don't know why) and I really love how well he's hitting after practically the whole city turned on him.

Feel really good for him... he was taking the ST drama and early season pressure pretty hard. Dude knows how to hit and is fun to watch at the plate. Has a plan, has great bat control... he's solid.

They so need to do a Kim t-shirt night. I bet that would sell out. I would be there.

I'm not ashamed I asked for a custom Kim shirsey for my birthday. How long is his contract? Two years?

Totally worth it. He's in the "Always an Oriole" camp now, like Frank Robinson and Boog Powell.

I kinda wish I looked more like him...But I do want to get a jersey of his now too. Definitely would be there for a Kim support night.

I wonder how much if any of the Korean areas in Annandale and Columbia are paying attention to him and the Orioles as a result.
