WTF is Cespedes doing? Hot-dogging bitch. You're not a real CF, stop trying to be fancy. That should be a 4-base error.
Defense has killed several of the teams that lost series this postseason. Wonder if that'll bite the Mets. That was an out.

I won't edit my post, but on replay I don't think it was a hot-dog play as much as just a terrible one. Still think it should be a 4-base error.
A competent CF makes that play 999 out of 1000.

Steve Melewski retweeted that the Royals are saying Edison doesn't know about his fathers death
Wow.

That's insane. Can't imagine they can keep it from him all game--some jackass Mets fan will start yelling as he walks off the field or something.

That is fucked up. How is that possible?
Wait...are they estranged? If they don't talk, and nobody in his family talks to his father, then that would make some sense. But that's the only thing that makes sense. If the Royals know about it, and aren't telling him, I think that might be the worst thing I've ever heard (and not "how marvelous" like Count Rugen would say).

Yeah we'll have to see. Could it be the rest of the family wanted to withhold it from him until after the game? "Dad would have wanted it" or something?

Maybe his mother requested that he not be told..There has to be a logical explanation. Right?
I remember Joe Dumars Father died before Game 3 or 4 of the finals in 1990 and it turned out that his Mother called Chuck Daly and said to wait until after the game. Something like that.

ESPN's reporting that he found out going to the park, while the Royals are saying he doesn't know.

In other news... crazy day on the board with the Ravens arguments... even see BNick hashtagging it up (in the "Here's my main problem with the Orioles" thread.)
