As some of you know, I completed my goal last year of attending a game at every single MLB park.  I decided to start a blog, ranking them from 30-1.

http://ratingtheparks.blogspot.com/

Today the intro and the #30 park.

Enjoy!

1. "Costco with AstroTurf" (technically it's FieldTurf--hence the rubber pellets that erupt from under grounders--but that doesn't kill the great line).

2. You actually refer to the St. Petersburg section of the bay correctly as "Old Tampa Bay".

I'm going to love this.

Have you ever read Dodger Dogs to Fenway Franks?

I will enjoy reading about them all...

I'm glad Pedro is doing this.

Not many people can say they have been to all 30 parks.

Pedro if you're interested in learning about the early days of The Trop (and the Rays rise to success in general), I highly recommend reading The Extra 2% by Jonah Keri.

Good-luck with this Pedro, pretty cool for you to share your experiences.

I'm connected to this guy Kurt Smith who runs a site called Ballpark E-Guides...

Might find it interesting.

Lol... in his intro post on his blog he said he doesn't know the history of any other sport nearly as well as baseball. I thought to myself, well he sure knows a ton about Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain.

Added a quick post about updating posts.  For example added the catwalk ground rules at the Trop and mentioned a pretty cool mural there (for Os fans at least) that I forgot I omitted.

I do appreciate the honesty and historical accuracy of leaving the original post as it was, then adding corrections after it.

But it might be less complicated for future readers if you were to just go in and do repairs, so that each review ends up reading the way you wish it had all along.  There's nothing wrong with doing revisions that way, just so you provide a note somewhere saying that's what you're doing (maybe with dates for the original and edits... or not... depending on whether you want to be persnickety about the details).  It's not like you're the Smithsonian or the Library of Congress.

Just a thought... you should do it however you want...

Gotta wonder if a park like Rogers Centre will ever try to improve it and add some of the new things people like to see.

Problem is, I'm not sure they can?

If they gave a shit, they should try and hire Janet Marie Smith...although I do think she is still working for the Dodgers.

There's a discussion going on on another thread about them putting natural grass in. That would be a start. At least pretend like you've entered the 21st century.

I put a link on Twitter about it...you should keep trying to push it.
