Didn't care for The River much save for "The River". Kind of fell into a ball of similarity for me, even though I know the tone of the songs varies. Maybe that's because there were so many. Maybe more listens will allow songs to jump out for me.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

If Darkness is your favorite so far, it might be worth spending $10 and downloading this live show from 1978.

Nebraska....OK.

I need to listen to these albums when I am not at work, as I have been doing, preferably while driving to let the lyrics sink in.

Oh man I love Nebraska. Depressing but I love it. Atlantic City and Johnny 99.

Well next up is Born in the USA. You're probably familiar with 1/2 that record already but it has a few unheralded gems. "Downbound Train" is terrific. Then is Tunnel of Love. Most fans dismiss it but I think it's very underrated. Maybe his most underrated album, all things considered.

Then, like I said, skip Human Touch etc and pick back up with The Rising.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

I'm in deep now. Been listening to Springsteen non-stop for two weeks.

Got through Tunnel of Love.

Darkness on the Edge of Town is my favorite.

I like some cuts on Tunnel of Love...have a feeling that's an under appreciated album among hardcore fans.

I can only move forward...going to check out Human Touch.

I never thought we'd agree on anything pop culture related. Well done.

I'm warning you about Human Touch. Don't say I didn't.

Yeah, I turned it off after ten mins...read the wiki article too. I'll skip it.

Predictions on what he will play on SNL? Think it's pretty obvious he will play "The River". Will the second song be from the same album (Out in the Street?) or maybe a classic like "Born to Run"? A medley? Or maybe a deep cut?

Pretty sluggish at the office this morning, i felt like I had to watch both performances live.

Good work as always, though i'm with Pedro on the choices..

Should have played "The River", one other classic song, and closed the show with their version of "Santa Claus is coming to Town" with the cast or something like that.

Would have been corny, but it was the Christmas show.

That's what they did. Oh, and Sir Paul McCartney was on stage, too.
