Didn't care for The River much save for "The River". Kind of fell into a ball of similarity for me, even though I know the tone of the songs varies. Maybe that's because there were so many. Maybe more listens will allow songs to jump out for me.

If Darkness is your favorite so far, it might be worth spending $10 and downloading this live show from 1978.

Nebraska....OK.
I need to listen to these albums when I am not at work, as I have been doing, preferably while driving to let the lyrics sink in.

Then, like I said, skip Human Touch etc and pick back up with The Rising.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I'm in deep now. Been listening to Springsteen non-stop for two weeks.
Got through Tunnel of Love.
Darkness on the Edge of Town is my favorite.
I like some cuts on Tunnel of Love...have a feeling that's an under appreciated album among hardcore fans.
I can only move forward...going to check out Human Touch.

I never thought we'd agree on anything pop culture related. Well done.
I'm warning you about Human Touch. Don't say I didn't.

Pretty sluggish at the office this morning, i felt like I had to watch both performances live.
Good work as always, though i'm with Pedro on the choices..
Should have played "The River", one other classic song, and closed the show with their version of "Santa Claus is coming to Town" with the cast or something like that.
Would have been corny, but it was the Christmas show.

That's what they did. Oh, and Sir Paul McCartney was on stage, too.

Damn I missed it too. Turned it off after they played their second song.
