I'll believe he'll be a Knick when I see it. Relationships with Phil and Fish may be enough to sway him, but it doesn't make sense otherwise.
Total agree. Btw, he was like a 19 and 11 guy last year on a garbage team.
As you said, he can still play..he could be a difference maker.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

For all the talk ,and unnecessary thread, it seems like nothing much will change.
Melo stays in NY. Big 3 in Miami. No huge names traded.

If he actually went to the Thunder, that might make them the favorite. Obviously if he went to the Spurs they'd have a great chance at another title. The Bulls with him would be the favorite in the East in all likelihood IMO. And obviously Miami can dearly use him if the big 3 return.

Makes sense. Still doesn't make NY much of a real threat.

You don't believe Minnesota is trading Kevin Love?

Yeah, that will happen. Forgot about Love.

GS needs to figure that shit out already and be done with it. Love makes them a top 3 team out West.

ESPN stated earlier today that OKC was the surprise current favorite for Gasol.
San Antonio seems to make a ton of sense.

Pacers trying to get Dragic.
And Phoenix denying they have interest in moving him (guess we will see if just words)...
Mike... some talk of a 3 way deal, with Rondo moving from Boston... and also involving Indiana, and the Suns.

Ok, so the Suns would get Rondo and what would the Pacers give up?
The report has been "what the Pacers are giving up is unknown but they likely have to go into their core".
I don't see how they have the pieces.

So, apparently the Knicks will or have offered Melo the max...which is going against what Phil wanted to do.
No surprise. Melo has all the leverage here.

Know Melo would have to take a lot less to go to Chicago (unless they got rid of Gibson)... but if Melo's primary objective is to win, he should be going to the Bulls.... Rose, Butler, Melo, Gibson, Noah... that's a real team.
Of course, with the cash being so much more in NY... I don't think he should be killed if he makes that decision. He just can't say that winning was his number 1 priority.

Well, you can argue that the Knicks are in good shape long term..which they are.
Plus, if he questions Rose's health, that is a reason to stay away.
