Ballast Point Grunion Pale Ale.
Goes down smooth and has a nice little bit of fruity (which I typically don't like) taste at the end. More please.

Had a Not Your Father's Root Beer. That shit was good.
Bought 2 cases this week. It's fucking awesome.
I can only do a few sips of that root beer beer. Too syrupy.
Tried a few this past weekend; definitely has a root-beer taste but I agree with Sean, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too syrupy for me.

Beckenridge Vanilla Porter - Decent porter but vanilla was kinda lacking (at least for my taste). Wouldn't want to drink too many in 1 sitting though
Ballast Point Fathom IPL - Pretty good. Light-tasting and crisp. Could definitely drink me some of these guys.

Heineken. Goes great with a burger.
Sweetwater 420 = what Heineken should taste like...

Hit up Tapistry Brewing, Cultivate Brewing, Greenbush Brewing, and FFF on my weekend trip to/from Michigan. All of them were nice, but the latter two were amazing, obvs.

Picked up a couple4 packs of Founders Breakfast Stout. I'll drink 5 or 6 of them now and then sit on the other few to bust out around the holidays.
In other news my Hazel Nut Brown Ale is just about done fermenting. I'll be bottling this in the next couple of days. Should be good to go just in time for Thanksgiving.

speaking of, Ballast Point Oktoberfest is excellent. If anyone here is a marzen fan, grab it.

That's the best beer for aging. I popped one open after 3 years and it was magnificent. Gave one to AO and he was ready to sexually satisfy me it was so good.

I'm in Indiana for work. Any must-have Midwest beers I should try to pick up while I'm here?

3 Floyd's is supposed to be great. Zombie Dust is considered one of the best IPAs.
Seconded. Zombie Dust is actually a Pale Ale though, but you could have fooled me. It used to be impossible to find, but I've been seeing it on tap in Chicago fairly frequently lately. Really anything by 3F is amazing.
I'd also look for anything by Greenbush Brewing, which is from southern MI and pretty close to northern IN. Their stuff is great. Half Acre and Revolution from Chicago are really good too.

Apparently Upland Brewing is really good too, but I haven't had it yet.

Not that it's not available here, but Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale (KC, MO, so you can also get the WS bend) is great

They must be using Coors to flush their tap lines and don't want to waste what comes out.
