2 beer related rants both involving O's games.  Game 2 of the ALDS the wife and  I stopped in at Dempsey's before the game for a little food and a brew.  I hadn't had one of Dempseys beers (I'm talking about the beers they specifically make) in a few years because the last time I tried one it was awful.  Well I had one again and they are still awful,  I got a "wheat" beer thinking how hard is it to make a wheat beer, well apparently it's pretty damn hard.  I'm not sure who's brewing the beer for Dempsey's but they are doing a lousy job of it.

Game 2 of the ALCS my dad and I are fighting through all the foot traffic on Eutaw Street (this is before the start of the game) so we can get to the Sam Adams stand,  Oktoberfest is in so I wanted to get one.  Apparently they were out of it!  This was before the game even started and they had no more Oktoberfest

This weekend I was excited to see that my local liquor store (Ronnie's) in HarfCo. has installed ten taps and are now selling pints and growlers. Mainly they have limited releases and stuff in general you wouldn't be able to buy in large batches.

I got 64oz. of Dominion Oak Barrell Stout with vanilla beans. I know it good because they gave free samples too. Huzzah!

Went to Ann Arbor this weekend to watch the world's worst human being coach his team to another Big 10 victory.

Friday night went to http://www.ashleys.com/ and had some serious beers there.  Like 9 %ers.  Four or five of them in and I was on my ass.  I guess they are, what, the equivalent of two or three of my beloved Coors Lights?

McNulty would have been proud of me.

Nah, but I've been there before.  Not that impressed.  NYC delis are much better IMO.

I haven't had Founder's - I will be on the lookout.

Mike, where can I find Natty Boh? It sounds interesting.

Actually I'd love them to bring back the old stubby bottles.

Founder's Breakfast Stout is great, but what Founders Beer isn't?

I picked up a 6 pack (Cans) of Sly Fox Christmas Ale the other day, I threw back several while watching the Ravens take down the Steelers, good stuff!

I thought this was interesting, the beer is in bottles and cans but the bottled version has a higher abv.

My last two homebrew batches I've brewed, a Weizenbock and a WInter Warmer have both turn out pretty well.

Clipper City's  Deep Six English Porter is quite tasty,  one of their top 5 beers they make.

That's like maybe their 8th best beer they make.  Aim higher Pedro!
