Looking forward to seeing how Eveland fares tonight. He's been on fire in Norfolk, but we all know how nice it is to pitch in that ball park.

Hellickson features a 4-seamer he throws 40% of the time at 91.7 MPH. His change is an 11.2 MPH variance at 79.5. That's excellent. He also has a nice 2-seam/cut fastball 27.2% of the time which is around 88-90 MPH. His curve 7.6% of the time and sits at 76.8 MPH. That's a pretty nice arsenal.

I see that Ed Reed is taking BP and throwing out the first pitch tonight.

Eveland's first pitch to Zobrist is outside. Ball 2 inside.

Gets the outside corner, 2-1.

4th pitch is grounded to Flaherty, who makes a nice play going towards SS. 1 down.

That was a nice solid play there by Flaherty to retire Zobrist. I like what I've seen from Flaherty on the hot corner so far.

Pena has been slumping. Quickly down 0-2.

Against the shift, Pena attempts and fails on a bunt attempt. 2 out.

LMAO at Palmer: "Well, it's been a week where we've seen stuff we've never seen before." ~ Explaining Pena's 0-2 bunt swing and a miss.

What a play by Flaherty. Very impressive inning for him.

In about a half an hour I'll only be in the game thread sporadically tonight (from my phone). About to head out to B Dubbs here in good 'ole Urbana!

Thorne talking about the Rays defensive shifting.

Markakis pops out to Keppinger. End of 1, no score.

As SG pointed out, there's another IFBB for Markakis. Agree with SG that we've gotta see that go down significantly for Nick.

Love everything about the Rays, just respect them tremendously. That said, want to send them back to Tampa looking up at the O's.

It is hard to pin down what is up with Nick. I don't buy the argument that he got married and does not care. With his line drive %, you'd expect more doubles. Frustrating overall though.

Nice 3-1 pitch from Eveland. Come back and get him on 3-2.
