Yup.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

No bombogenesis post from Sean? He’s slipping.

It's a nothingburger here.

We did get a little snow this morning and that'll be fun to deal with since the ground is totally frozen and people can't drive on a 80 degree sunny day.

That said I'll be in Deep Creek this weekend and the high on Friday and Saturday is 1 and zero.

Heading home at 1 to watch the kid, but otherwise, meh.

Jesus. MD has turned into Florida.

Insane that schools closed west of the bay.

My guess is that it's a function of timing and luck. My library in Philly is closing at 1 because it's getting pretty rough up here. An Amtrak train partially derailed in Savannah because of the weather.

You get to be a certain size, and there's no semi... it's just two settings... no in-between. Lol.

The weather hysteria this morning had much to do with the temps the past couple weeks... I think people were scared to death of ice, even though the snow didn't do much. Montgomery County closed the highways for a couple hours to treat ice, too.

I think schools will end up being closed here tomorrow as well. Wind chill is supposed to be around 0

Real talk, I was about to post on my fb page, "In these cold times, it's good to think of warm things. Here's Scorpion's 'Toasty!' fatality on every character from MK X."

Is it possible for only one water pipe to freeze? One of my toilets won’t fill up with water but the sink in the same bathroom works. I shut off the water and am running a space heater in the crawl space where it is but it’s an insulated space (connected to my basement, half/half) and doesn’t feel that cold in there. Pipe didn’t have frost or swelling but was pretty cold to the touch.

I feel like it’s the most likely case since it hit around 0 last night and it’s a fairly new toilet but I guess it could be the valve as well.

Yeah that must’ve been it. Space heater in the crawl space and hair dryer at the toilet did the trick. Looks like no leaks or bursts.

Any ideas on how to prevent this? The pipes are all inside.

One thing you can do is run water out if your sink...just a slow trickle..do it in basement if possible.
