He got way too much credit on that *hit* as well -- Crawford should've had that -- and that became instant Oriole lore symbolizing the 14 years of futility... "we suck but hey we spoiled the Sox." Not that I didn't enjoy that moment.Thats because people overrate small sample sizes and big hits that stick in your memory. It doesn't mean the player is all of a sudden good despite thousands of pro at bats that say otherwise.

Hope it's not serious, because this organization lacks 2B depth.

Saw that he left the game but didn't know why. They got a series against the Twins. Might be a convenient time to let Andino rest it for a game or two.Andino left todays game during the 6th after a diving play at second. Appeared to hurt his wrist.
Hope it's not serious, because this organization lacks 2B depth.

Andino out 3-4 week with a left shoulder strain.

Is Flaherty the only active guy that can play 2B right now? Can Tolleson? I assume Hardy can, but that doesn't help.

@MASNRoch
‪#orioles‬ manager Buck Showalter told WBAL's Joe Angel in pregame show taping that Robert Andino has strained left shoulder. Out 3-4 weeks.

A Flaherty/Tolleson platoon isn't going to give us championship-caliber production.....but how much worse could it be than what Andino has provided?

Agreed. He's been impressively terrible this season. I don't know what the best option is to replace him (Flaherty?) but it'd be hard for anybody to play any worse than Andino has since late April.Nothing personal against Robert, and I hate to see a man get hurt, but this doesn't really bother me either.

I still like Andino, and think he is slightly better than he has shown this year. Still, he can only be looked at as a UTI player at this point.

Should've traded him in the offseason or after his hot start. Hes been pretty awful since May/June.
Yeah, I actually think given how he finished last year and started this year, you could have lured some team into thinking he's a full time starter.

There were some reports from Roch that some teams viewed Andino as a starting SS and had inquired about him over the winter.

Until Q came in (and who knows if he'll continue to be this good), would you have preferred Ryan Flaherty? And after his hot start, he was still needed as B-Rob insurance. That's really a stretch to say this.Should've traded him in the offseason or after his hot start. Hes been pretty awful since May/June.
Believe me I'd love to upgrade 2B this offseason.
