ESPN: Yankees on bring of own historic collapse
http://espn.go.com/b...storic-collapse

One commenter there said the MFY's have never blown a 10 game lead, ever.
Not sure if he meant ever-ever, or just not-making-the-post-season ever.
Either way, I didn't know that...

I love that the Yankees are pinning their hopes on Andy Pettite in 2012.

I'd love it a lot more if he let them down.

Face it, the guy has mostly come through when they needed him... I'd think twice about betting against him...

I'd give him even more credit if he came through this time!

ESPN: Yanks boss: All jobs are safe

http://espn.go.com/n...ger-losing-jobs

Even with the New York Yankees having relinquished a 10-game lead in the AL East, Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner said manager Joe Girardi's job, nor anyone else's, is in danger.

"Jobs are not riding on this," Steinbrenner said, speaking to a small group of reporters in the corridors of Yankee Stadium.

They're going to the playoffs again..I don't think Girardi is very good (Torre was), but the threat of losing the job every year is absurd to me..

Two points...

1.) C.C. Sabathia is as good as it gets. The man is absolutely ridiculous, and I have a TON of respect for him.

2.) I hope the Yankees get destroyed by the Tigers.
