UVA is very good. Tough D, efficient offense. They're dangerous if shots are dropping.
Amazing the turnaround they had, after a not-so-great OOC play. It will be interesting to see how they do in the ACC Tourney and NCAAs, they definitely had a favorable ACC schedule. That said, they won the games, they did all they could in this respect.

They did have a lighter schedule, but it looks likely that they win the ACC by at least 2 games. Add a couple of losses to Cuse and Duke (and I'm not so sure about that) and they still at least tie for first.

UVA is doing the cute "ACC chant" now.

At this point, they're just playing for seeding and hopefully playing in Raleigh for them, atleast that's the big picture.

Yep...they didn't play Duke, Cuse, UNC or Pitt twice.
They got blown out by Tennessee, got beat VCU, Wisky and a good Green Bay team.
Their resume isn't impressive.
However, entering this game, they were third in the Kenpom rankings.

Props to UVA security with the "barrier" separating the players from the fans. Other schools should take note.

KenPom values defensive efficiency highly... and they are that.

If they win out, any chance of a 1 seed for UVA? Or do those bad early losses limit them to a 2?
I think they'll likely be a #2. A lot of teams would have to lose to get them to a #1. If they get to Raleigh for the first weekend as a #2, that should be pretty good for them.

Def a chance. Especially if they beat Dook in the ACCT.

Didn't have to travel to Cuse or UNC either.

Think they'd likely need to beat Cuse again as well. Hard to see them passing UF, UofA, and likely Wichita. KU and Lville are likely ahead of them at this point in addition to Duke/Cuse (pending the ACC Tourney).

Their overall resume sucks...I don't see them getting a 1. Unless Duke loses to UNC next week( not happening), then UVA will only have to beat one of Cuse or Duke to win the tourney.
That definitely isn't impossible.

Right now, it's a battle for the 1 seed in the East....the other 3 are set with only Wich St in danger.Think they'd likely need to beat Cuse again as well. Hard to see them passing UF, UofA, and likely Wichita. KU and Lville are likely ahead of them at this point in addition to Duke/Cuse (pending the ACC Tourney).
Cuse, Duke and Kansas might be the only 3 teams that can get that spot.
No one in the Big Ten has stood out enough....the PAC 12 doesn't have anyone else. The SEC sucks.
Maybe Louisville has a chance but I think the loss today ended that.

UVA needs to win the tourney for the 1 seed, point blank.
UNC's just trying to get to Raleigh for the 64 and 32 and let the chips fall from there, so UNC will like need to, regardless of what happens, win the ACCT to do that (hopefully leapfrogging either Duke or UVA in the process).

I mentioned this in our favorite sports days -- between Selection Sunday and the first day of games that ensuing Thursday, those are mine.
