The show is getting silly.  Lazy writing over and over.

So Glenn is shot in the shoulder with a guy gouging into the wound, and then he's covered up in zombies while he's prone - and he just miraculously escapes it?  Come on.

An army of zombies surround an occupied car, and a guy with a stick beats them all into submission.  If it was that easy to kill them, why is the world overrun by them?

The angry surgeon coming in and slashing the neck of the leader's husband?  A seventh grader could write better ideas.  I was already annoyed by the previous episode when Rick, master of killing zombies and bad guys, couldn't whip a pansy-*** surgeon who because of being behind a wall, was hardly battle tested.

I might not watch the show any longer.

Your gripes are all legit, especially the Glenn getting tackled by several zombies and surviving thing, but it's a show about zombies, . A lot needs to be overlooked to get pleasure from the show.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Also, considering that these zombies have skulls that are apparently about as stiff as birthday cake, wouldn't their jaw just crumble and fall off if they tried to bite you?

This reminds me of the food truck scene from the finale:

I agree, to an extent.

Honestly, man-handling zombies should be expected at this point. If you've made it this long, you're either a damn zombie killing expert, or you're someone who's had their ass covered by the people who are.

Plus, zombies are basically rotting corpses that have been weathered in the elements for quite a while now, they probably aren't too sturdy.

The whole premise to the show now is basically that everyone knows how to deal with zombies, it's the other people you have to worry about.

Pete slashing the surgeon's neck struck me more as an accident as he was pushing him off to go after Rick, like he was just too much of an amateur to handle it properly. Not that that makes it much better.

But Glenn definitely always seems to survive the most ridiculous situations.

Well, if a show about zombies doesn't seem as crazy of a premise as gunshot-wound-Glenn getting away from a handful of walkers or the other examples.......

Very good finale...one of their best if not the best.

I agree, it was annoying the stupidity to leave the gate open -- but it played a part in things. It had to happen.

Very pleased with the direction of this show. From the second half of season 2, it's been one non-stop roller coaster.

Agreed about the 2nd part of this season being a non-stop roller coaster. It was a good half.

Guys,

I haven't watched any of this season but from everything I've read I can just watch last season and get pretty good idea?

Or just watch the season finale and I'm good, no?

Yeah, I guess this Glenn escape was less ridiculous than the time where he was strapped to a chair, exposed to a zombie, and made it out unscathed.

They kind of face the issue 24 did, where you know that any trouble that Jack got himself into, it's just a matter of how does he get out of it instead of if.  The show will kill off characters from time-to-time, but I think several are in the category of unkillable and thus the trouble they get into isn't as dramatic.  So I don't really mind if they sometimes go over the top and make it a scenario that the character shouldn't be able to escape from and then have them escape.  I'd enjoy times when I am force to question my feeling of "there's no way they'd kill X, would they?" in the moment more than I shake my head afterwards when that same unkillable character has some miraculous escape or rescue.

I think Rick, Glenn, Daryl, and Michonne are on the unkillable list.  Maggie, Carol, and Carl are close as well, but I could see them killing one of those characters just to explore how their emotional counterpart reacts to it.

The rest are all chattel that can and will be killed at the producer's discretion to keep things as interesting as possible.

Agree with the writing. I always get annoyed when they bring stealth zombies in for a surprise. I mean, these things are unintelligent, loud ungraceful creatures. But yet, somehow, they lay in wait, and attack at just the right moment right as the music gets tense.

But I will say, next season should introduce the best villain tv has seen in a while.

Well put it this way, they pull from source material where NO ONE is safe.

Ehh I liked the first episode.  It was a quick ramp up to get the juices flowing again.  We will see, but I think they wanted to do that as they know most their fans just came from a 6 episode la version that put people to sleep in 4 of the 6 episodes.

<p>I am pretty sure Shack is thinking of PBR.

I did enjoy the season premiere, from the intermittent flashbacks to the storyline itself, I found it to be a very engaging episode.
