The Panthers are doing the same thing with Hardy, back and forth, flip flopping, waiting for the public outcry to dictate what they do.
It's been a miserable month for the NFL.

This is good, but he should be suspended by the NFL too.

I think they are trying to wait for the legal system to dole out punishment and then react to that.

Oh I agree. Just trying to make some sense out of things. They've obviously been scared to make any kind of move after the Rice fiasco. Now its like they are froze up.

Eh, just do it now, which is not anything Goodell has had an issue with in the past. He'll actually miss more games doing it this way unless they take into account his time served even though he's being paid now. Also, Hardy's been convicted and nothing there.

Vikings owner Zygi Wilf: "We will support Adrian during this legal and personal process, but we firmly believe this is the right decision.”
Bull crap. WE feel this is the right decision. YOU are begrudgingly going along with us. YOU almost made the right decision, but then you lost big and went wobbly.
YOU didn't get it right until your fans, the governor, and Anheuser Busch expressed their displeasure.
So don't get it twisted, Zygi Wilf, YOU are part of the problem in the NFL right now.

This is pretty much where I'm at with football. A lot of this really resonated with me. Using it as a way to connect to home, since I don't live in the area. The concussions, suicides, and now this. Its too much for me to ignore.

I bet for most folks it isn't.
So far, AFAIK only Radisson and this one guy have actually quit, I don't know of anybody else who has...
I bet most fans will *talk* about how terrible it all is... while they continue to be rabid fans and fork over the cash... and will somehow talk themselves into feeling OK about doing that on the basis that they *said* it's all terrible while conveniently ignoring the ways that they support it... actions vs. words, etc. in the face of what's demonstrably a criminal culture that cares only about the PR-damage, not the human-damage...

Football used to be near and dear to my heart, like baseball. Football has now become something I just enjoy for fantasy purposes.
I still enjoy wearing my Orioles gear in public, but I no longer enjoy wearing NFL gear in public. I'm embarrassed to be associated with the NFL's product.

Can he be their bridge over troubled water?
I'm sorry.
You should be locked away in a cassel for that one.

Believe me, I often ponder why I make so many stupid jokes.
