Hardly surprising, amazing how he's gone from one of the most sought after commodities to being borderline-unhirable (never want to say never though).

Alabama men's basketball coach Anthony Grant has received a $100,000 raise and a one-year contract extension through 2019.
University system trustees approved a raise Thursday to $1.9 million from Grant's deal in April 2009.
Great move IMO by Bama to extend Grant, huge fan of his.

Being that Turgeon is a KU alum, I think this bodes well for Maryland, assuming that Turgeon keeps sailing the ship in the right direction.

I think Turgeon and to a lesser extent, Tad Boyle would be logical to replace Self, but I don't think that day is coming anytime soon. Turgeon just completed his first year, let's see what he does in the next few.As long as Kansas still has Kansas fans, I don't think any extension for Bill Self should make Maryland comfortable.
