Really would've liked to score at least one there.

Yep, another missed opportunity.

Matusz winds up walking Granderson. Looked like Matusz should have had a called strike 3 during that ab.

Martin singles into LF. Granderson scores. Reimold bobbles the ball, allowing Jones to get to 3rd.

Sorry for the lack of commentary this evening, I had a surprise visit from a friend who's here from California.

Not very pleased with Matusz tonight. Just terrible command all night. Velo hasn't been an issue, but command and mound presence has been poor.

Matusz can't get anything over the plate.

8 3-ball counts for Matusz = a whole lotta pitches

Jeter doubles on a full-count, taking Matusz down the line. Martin scores to put NY up 4-1. O'Day up in the pen.

I'm sure it's been said, but it disgusts me hearing loud cheers at OPACY when the Yankees score.

No apologies necessary.

Palmer is right, you can see his stuff is better/crisper than last year. You can physically see a difference. But he has overthrown too many pitches, and has been all over the place.

It is disgusting. Only consistent O's winning will ever change that, but the O's could take steps to mitigate it more than they do.

Count to Cano is even at 2-2. Need to end the bleeding here.

Cano crushes a liner, that Hardy is able to grab.

End of the Yankees 4th. NY up 4-1.

Jack Curry ‏ @JackCurryYES
Why spring training is only spring training. Matusz walked 3 in 24 2/3 innings in spring. Has walked 4 of first 20 Yankees tonight.

Wieters with another sweet looking swing, knocking a double into LCF.
