Both to me are akin to chinese water torture.

I'm a Thorne fan, he's no Jon Miller though!

Hadn't heard about this before. Basically sounds like Noel could be facing an Alex Len-type scenario, which means he would not play against the Terps on Nov 9.

http://www.testudoti...erlens-noel-huh

The NCAA 45-day window has begun for Kentucky freshman center Nerlens Noel and he has not yet been fully cleared, an NCAA source with direct knowledge of the case told SNY.tv. ...

"Will it be resolved by Midnight Madness [on Friday]?" the source added. "Or even by the season opener? No one knows at this point. UK is downplaying it publicly but I'm sure they're a bit concerned."

Crazy. I read an article a while back that said they did this originally so they could shave about $200M off the cost of the arena... as it turned out, they still spent that extra $200M in oversights in the planning and last second additions.

Don't love them, don't hate them. I liked the uniforms they wore at MM.

Can't believe we're only a week out from this game. Can't wait.

Slowly getting excited for MD basketball, but this just feels like such a tease, as I never really get into it until conference season starts.

Still, excited to see what the freshmen bring. Allen has apparently been very impressive thus far.

Yes, November hoops is always so frustrating... first of all, we're usually not at our best until mid-ACC play, and secondly, there's sometimes a week or to between games.

Turg was on 106.7 The Fan this morning and gave a good interview. I thought it was interesting that he plans to use Shaq and Len on the court together a good amount of the time. He said the team frankly isn't very good right now, but could be very good as the season progresses. He feels like preparing for Kentucky all off-season has them a little further ahead than if they had been preparing for an opener against a lesser opponent.

Yeah, besides this game coming up, November games hardly have any excitement with all the tune-up games. Seth Allen has been very impressive, as I thought he would be.

Kentucky is an 11.5 point favorite.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Seems a bit steep. I would bet on Maryland.

Kentucky is an 11.5 point favorite.

At this point it is because of UK's rep and their recruits being more highly recognized.
I am not sure what to expect tonight but I am anxious to see the game.

Maryland is an underdog, hopefully they give em hell and pull the upset. No matter what happens, I expect this team to improve a lot as the year goes by.

11.5 point favorite? If I were a gambler, I would definitely take a shot with Maryland. I think they can easily upset UK.
