11.5 point favorite? If I were a gambler, I would definitely take a shot with Maryland. I think they can easily upset UK.

Tough to bet on CBB so early in the year. Just a feeling but I think Maryland struggles early in the game and maybe settles down and makes a late run. I think with the Wildcats size, Maryland will have to be hot from the outside to pull off the upset.
UK is really big, and it will be interesting to see if Lenn is able to hold his own and if the younger bigs get intimidated by the length and jumping ability UK has.

Yeah, I would agree with this. Obviously Kentucky had a lot of turnover as well, but they start with the mindset of knowing they are good team, while MD has to work to prove they are.

Hard game to handicap really, because it is the opener, and both teams are relying on so many new players.

I want to see Maryland play defense, compete on the boards, and play aggressive throughout. I think anything from a Kentucky blow out (15-20 points) to a Maryland win is possible.

My feelings exactly. I hope they use this game as a barometer on what they need to do to get better. Turgeon comes with the rep that his teams get better as the year goes on.
Last year was not a fair test....this year with all the added players should be a good test of his teaching ability.

I am pumped for this game. I have not been this excited since the Vazquez era.

I honestly don't care, but this is kinda funny... When will ESPN acknowledge that the TERPS are who Kentucky are playing tonight?

Sloppy early, but a scrappy start by the Terps. If the 3's start going down, look out. They've gotten plenty of good looks already. Wells is ridiculously athletic... Len looks improved.

Terps definitely have got some nerves early. Like the overall look of the team, though.

Len had a great move and nice dunk, but did you see that attempt to go glass on the jumper? Yeesh. And he looked bad on another play or two as well.

He definitely has a lot of physical talent.

Maryland couldn't be shooting the ball any worse right now.

Mitchell looks good on the boards.

That was a nice offense-defense sequence for Len.

He looks like a guy that if it really just 'clicks', he could be really good. Already looks pretty good on the defensive and rebounding front to me.
