Wasted a lot of time there before fouling.
Yep. And fouled the wrong guy.

I don't need to see the rest of CBB to know that even if this team loses, that they are one of the 25 best teams in the country.

Has a team ever lost their first game of the year and still went from ranked to unranked?

Other way around and I have no idea.
But yeah, they seem like a top 25 team.

Hell of a game. I don't know if' I've ever been actually excited after a Maryland loss before, but this looks like a good team.

I liked the use of the press. Did not see it last year, because Turgeon did not have the bodies.
The best part was Maryland played so well the second half it forced Dickie V to acknowledge he was not doing a Blue/White scrimmage. Hate to lose, but again there was a lot to like.

1) They will make the NCAA tournament without much, if any, concern on Selection Sunday (aside from seeding)
2) Alex Len will not be on the team for the 2013-2014 season
3) Pe'Shon Howard will not be the starting Point Guard by the time conference play gets going

Yep..shot horribly and still matched up great with a top 5 team.
Sucks to lose, but a lot of good things. The offensive rebounding and free throw shooting was particularly encouraging.

Overall got to be pretty happy. Just couldn't find a shot to go down in the 1st half. Both Faust and Wells were horrible from the field and we lost by 3 to a top 5 team. Also, we are rarely if ever going to see the length and defensive ability that Kentucky showed us the rest of the year. It's a shame we didn't execute a little better from 5 minutes in. Padge missed a layup. We let the little white PG steal the ball right underneath their basket after a rebound, and we had some sloppy turnovers. We put ourselves in great position for the last 5 minutes and then played pretty poorly. Certainly come away feeling great about the team this year. When all is said and done we might be a top 15 team in the country. Seriously. Len is just a stud and I'm going to assume these are two of the worst games you'll see from faust and Wells. It looks like all the freshman can contribute(Allen, Layman,Mitchell) so I really have raised the bar up even higher than I orginally had it. I thought we were a top 30ish tourny team but I really think it can even be better than that.

Alex Len was the best player on the floor last night. Should be a fun season in the ACC.
