Guess Buck would rather have the RH bat in there against Miley than going with the splits this season. McLouth has a .705 OPS vs. LHP this season. Pearce has a .767. I suppose it doesn't make much of a difference, but I think I'd have went with Nate.

Eh, I'm sure other managers go with the splits and only play premium LH versus Miley. I often wonder about this happening league wide with regards to splits.
The difference between McLouth and Pearce versus LHP is much smaller than, say, Davis and Pearce. Well, maybe not lately

Markakis has a .628 OPS vs lefties this year and starts every game vs them batting leadoff. Buck makes no sense with his lineup decisions.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Chase Field may be the oddest stadium I've been to.
I don't watch many Diamondback games, obviously, but when their stadium first opened I was mesmerized by that swimming pool in RCF.

I went to a game their inaugural year -- must've been one of their first ones since it was my spring break in middle school. Remember it feeling like it was indoors despite the roof being open.

I think the fact that their OBP is almost identical and McLouth at least is a threat to steal even though he hasn't been running lately (another thing I don't understand) is why McLouth is a better leadoff option.

Yea the pool is odd. The upper deck is LONG....I wouldn't be shocked if the rows went to 35-40 deep.
And then there's the outside...this big metal box sitting in downtown which just sort of appears after driving through the desert.
Once you're inside the roof and ventilation makes it feel real weird.
I dunno...just nothing about it says "baseball" haha.

I hate retractable roofs more than anyone, but it's almost essential to have one there. I agree it doesn't scream baseball.

If it weren't for having a World Series Trophy, I'd forget they even HAVE a baseball team...
