Fulham with the 2-2 draw against Liverpool. Who saw that one coming!?

Back line of Tim Ream and especially Antonee Robinson kept Liverpool pretty much in check. But first game of the season always leads to a lot of home team upsets.

If anybody needs any evidence that the EPL bias against American players isn't real just check out the player ratings here. I watched that match start to finish. Aaronson was IMO the best player on the field.

Well Haaland started his EPL career with a bang....scored a brace in Man C's 2-0 win.

Fulham actually dominated the 1st 10-15 minutes or so, then Liverpool remembered they were Liverpool and controlled the rest of the game.  Bit of a shaky call to give Fulham a PK, but that could be a huge point for them later in the season.

Here are two interesting stats from the opening weekend of EPL play.

Pressures -  #1 Brenden Aaronson

Distance Ran - #2 Tyler Adams

US boys made Leeds fans believers this weekend.

Leeds faltered the second half at Southampton and had to settle for a draw. Marsch probably should have gotten his subs in earlier. No reason to lose a 2-0 lead in the last 30 minutes.

Man U is getting throttled at Brentford. 31st minute and Brentford is leading 3-0.

Chelsea - Tottenham match was very interesting. Twice I thought Tuchel and Conte were going to punch each other out. LOL

Harry Kane is a load!

Also shout out to De Bruyne for a world class goal yesterday. Sick move to get space and then blasts it in on the side netting while striking it with the out side of his foot!

Back to back draws not how Liverpool wanted to start the season.  Already down 4 to City.

Nunez getting a red in his first start… not the way they hoped that would go. Disastrous start for Liverpool.

For sure, however the flip side is that they have come from behind both matches to get a draw. Could have been worse.

That Luis Diaz equalizer yesterday was pure beauty.

A trip to Old Trafford should get them right.  I hope.

Man U has inquired about Pulisic, apparently Newcastle is also interested as well.  Don't know how I feel about a move to United, but if it's going to get him some PT than maybe it's for the best.

I really like a move to Man U for several reasons.

1. They are at the bottom right now so the side has no place to go but up. Pulisic would be a terrific upgrade in their midfield and pairing with Bruno would be stellar.

2. Ten Hag is a very good coach and will give Pulisic every opportunity to play. Something Tuchel isn't.

3. The fans will love him....at least until they don't. But back to #1 above. Its almost a no lose situation.
