Here are the trophy's the top flight teams in England play for.

1. EPL championship - open only to teams in the EPL

2. FA Cup - This competition is open to all teams down to Level 10 in the English football league system

3. Enlgish Football League Cup (Carabao Cup) - This competition is open to all teams in the top 4 levels of English football

The Cup competitions are knockout type play. Only in the EPL does every team play each other.

We have the same kind of system here in the US.

1. MLS
2. US Open Cup - this is open to all teams from the 4 professional leagues across the country
a. MLS
b. United Soccer League Championship Division
c. United Soccer League League One Division
d. National Independent Soccer Association

Meh. Too many cups and leagues.

Then I guess you support eliminating minor league baseball?

Huge game for Arsenal tomorrow against Newcastle.

Tottenham is up 2 points on Arsenal but the gunners have the extra game tomorrow. Tottenham finish up Saturday against the bottom team in the league so you have to figure the Spurs will end up on 71 points. Arsenal sits on 66. Win both their last 2 and Arsenal is in UCL

If the Spurs falter at Norwich and draw they'd end up with 69 points meaning Arsenal could tie them with a win and a loss in their last two matches. BUT the Spurs are way ahead in goal differential so tying on points won't work for Arsenal.

And Chelsea still needs at least 1 point in their final two matches to guarantee a UCL spot.

Going to be a fun last week!

Arsenals last game is against Everton, who may very well need a result theirselves to avoid relegation

What’s the point of an FA cup? The only teams that win it are premier league teams. And they’d rather win the league.

So some second tier team can make it to the quarters? Makes no sense.

Go Arsenal. I want nothing but the worst for Tottenham

The FA Cup has been won 8 times by a team NOT in the top flight of English football. Granted not since 1980. But Cardiff made the final in 2008.

Besides the obvious that its more good soccer to watch these matches are great opportunities for younger players to get minutes.

Meh. Money grab.

I don't know why I even engage with you.

Ok baseball plays 162 games and can't decide a winner from that so almost 1/3 of the league goes into a playoff.

Basketball and hockey play 72 or 82 games and can't decide a winner. 20 of 30 teams make the NBA playoffs. 16 of 32 teams make the NHL playoffs.

Money grab? Sure, no different than any other sport. But in fact the EPL places WAY more importance on the regular season than any US sport.

Well Arsenal is in deep doo doo. To make the top 4 they have to beat Everton who needs some kind of a result to ensure they aren't relegated AND Norwich has to beat Tottenham.

Sorry gunner fans but its off to Europa League for you.

Ya'll don't forget the BIG one tomorrow.

Chelsea vs Liverpool for the FA Cup. The granddaddy domestic league trophy.

Man does Chelsea match up evenly with Liverpool.  Two draws in EPL matches and two 0-0 scores that went to penalties in Cup finals.  Glad Liverpool pulled it off again.

Everton all the way back from down 2-0 to take the lead on a header off the free kick in the 85th minute!

Well some off channels have picked up some matches for this morning so the big decision matches are on TV.

Ist Place: Man C wins the league with a W or a draw and a Liverpool draw or L. Liverpool must win to have a shot.

Man C hosts Aston Villa on NBC

Liverpool hosts Wolverhampton on Univision and Peacock

4th Place (UCL spot): Tottenham is in with a W or D. Arsenal must W and have the Spurs L.

Arsenal hosts Everton on CNBC

Norwich hosts Tottenham on Sci Fi Channel and Peacock

Relegation:

Norwich and Watford are down. Burnley and Leeds are tied by Burnley is way ahead on goal differential.''

Brentford hosts Leeds

Burnley hosts Newcastle

Leeds needs to get a better result than whatever Burnley does. If Burnley loses then Leeds just needs a draw. If Burnley draws then Leeds must win. If Burnley wins then Leeds is relegated.

Half time in all matches and here's where things stand.

Man C is losing 1-0

Liverpool is tied 1-1

Tottenham is winning 2-0

Arsenal is winning 2-1

Newcastle is winning 1-0

Leeds is tied 0-0.

As of now:

Man City wins the EPL

Tottenham finishes 4th and gets the last UCL spot

Arsenal finishes 5th and goes to Europa league.

Leeds stays in the EPL.

Burnley is relegated.

Well the 2nd halfs were just crazy.

Man C fell behind 2-0 and comes back to beat Aston Villa 3-2 and wins the EPL

Liverpool beats the Wolves 3-1 after down 1-0 but ends up in second.

Spurs crush Norwich 5-0 and finish 4th and in UCL.

Arsenal also wins big over Arsenal 5-1 but ends 5th and goes to Europa.

Leeds wins and Burnley looses so Leeds stays up and Burnley is relegated.

Great results.
