I hate it when people complain about first-pitch swinging. It's usually a dumb, result-driven complaint, because almost every hitter hits very well on first pitches. Unless it's immediately following a 4-pitch walk or a really wild stretch, or if it's a situation where getting on base is crazy important, a hitter looking for, getting, and swinging at a pitch they like is a good thing.
That said, when Jones is going bad, like right now, he's very easy to get out.
