Nice job by Jim. Those 3 shouldn't be able to hit him, but just for him to actually throw strikes to the bottom of the order is a good sign.
Good win, nice to steal one after a couple tough, close losses.

Nice to see Wieters with a good game at the plate. Always hits well in Yankee Stadium.

Btw, Manfra's call on Manny's play was comically bad.

Holy Machado Batman that play is unbelievable.
Still can't freaking believe it. Who even attempts a throw there after it going off the glove? Only Manny. Unreal.

Nice to see Wieters with a good game at the plate. Always hits well in Yankee Stadium.
Now, if he coudl just start hitting well in the other 29 other ML ballparks...especially the Yard(s).

Way to break out of a slump, Jonesy. How awesome was that? Sounded like more than a few O's fans at the stadium cheering there.
I can't speak for Yankee Stadium today, but we were well represented yesterday. Saw a bunch of O's caps around NYC as well.

That was Rivera's first blown save at Yankee Stadium since September 2010.
That's the greatness of Rivera to me. Relievers are pretty volatile from one year to the next. You see plenty of closers have a great year from Eric Gagne to Valverde to Jim Johnson. Rarely can they do it for a 5-6 year period of time, let alone a decade-and-a-half plus like Mo has done. I know he didn't play much of 2012 and I was expecting more regression from him, nope, proved me wrong. Amazing to not blow a save in all of 2011. Jones homering off Rivera in the botom of the 9th at Yankee Stadium to give up a lead is truly amazing, I don't care how old he is. He sure as hell hasn't pitched like his age this year. A week from Tuesday will be the rare time (hopefully) where I look forward to Rivera coming on into the 9th with a lead.
