I feel bad for him, he has the talent, but his body keeps letting him down.

Moved to 60 day IL. Ouch. He just can't stay healthy enough to even give you a real chance to figure out if you have anything there.
He's got to be basically forgotten about until he proves otherwise at this point.

Good Bye to Hunter Harvey. He was waived and claimed by the Giants.

I think it was pretty easy for Elias to make the move.
Harvey was not his guy, and was always injured.
The 40 man is now down to 29, but 5 guys are on the 60. Still a nimber of other guys that can be sent packing.

Seems odd for the worst team in baseball to not want a guy that the best team in baseball wants. No real complaint about losing Harvey, but I think there are a lot of guys with less potential to help next year or in the future than Harvey that will end up on the 40-man.

Likely speaks to some intent for the number of new guys they want to protect on the 40. Decisions aren't free.
I'm not stressing on it. Does seem strange.

i did not see them releasing Harvey but maybe they just got tired of all the setbacks.
It is not a big deal to me, they tried with him. It is strange when guys like Kriske, Watkins, Krebiel, DJ Stewart, and Chris Elli8s are still on the roster.
I think they could get it down to 26 pretty easily.

There were a lot of teams with waiver priority over the Giants that didn’t take him.
Surely he will now become an all star closer though.
Real good point and yes, I would not be surprised to see the Giants get something out of him.

To be mean about it, glue factory. It just isnt happening. Even if he can stay relatively healthy the stuff is underwhelming.
Is that so? I thought that people always said his stuff was still really good when healthy.
Maybe that's old info though. I'll be honest, I don't think I've seen him pitch since 2019, so I really have no idea.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I don’t get why you would release Harvey. Not like they needed the room.
That's my opinion. Too many other options to easily remove, even if you have little confidence in Harvey ever staying healthy or being good enough.
