I am really pulling for the kid.  He clearly has a special arm.  Let’s hope he is able to throw 50-60 quality innings

The kid can not catch a break.  He has the talent, he may not have the luck.

I was kind of hoping the first baseman would be the guy to  go to the 60.

Very disappointing.  Guess understandable as oblique injuries don't heal quickly, but damn.

I wonder in some ways does this allow them to limit his innings.

I think he may have already hit that wall.

 

I mean, Im a huge fan, was elated they drafted him, and well, all his injuries, kid just cant catch a break.

A true closer would fill a huge gap on this team. Knock dead-fish down into a more flexible position. Pitching him after guys have been facing high 90s, and before coming in to face Harvey would be really off-balancing.

 

And the pen is playing well, don't get me wrong, but it's kind of a sum of it's parts at the moment.

I agree with the last part, especially.

 

I would love to see Harvey as the closer, but until he can pitch back to back, it is just a dream.
