ProFootballTalk: Source: Some Steelers limited partners want a coaching change
He's pretty much Harbaugh....players always respect and play hard for him, but strategically he often comes up short.

I also saw that Tomlin doesn't allow Ben to audible to a QB sneak late in the game too even though the defense looks vulnerable to it, and Ben is like 18 for 19 on 1-yard QB sneaks.
Tomlin really shit the bed on Sunday.

At #28, the Steelers take Terrell Edmunds, S, VaTech.

The Steelers have converted $8.26M of LB Ryan Shazier’s 2018 base salary into a signing bonus, per source. Shazier, placed on PUP Wednesday, earns that money now. While there are no cap implications, it’s a great gesture by a first rate organization.

Long term deal not reached with Bell.
Steelers made an offer that would have made him the highest paid RB and he turned it down. Maybe not enough guarantees in the deal, but probably ends up being a smart move by the Steelers. The oft suspensions, the injuries... He was rode hard last year (406 touches) which suggests a down year is coming. He's talented, but not worth the headache. Give it to him 600 times this year, and let another team sign the damaged goods.

Holy crap he might actually not play.

I can't see them letting him play if he hasn't practiced this week.
Would love to see them choke this one or inevitably have him and his me-first personality destroy that team.
On the other hand, I think he should hold out for whatever he thinks he deserves, the team be damned. The team won't be there for him in 20 years even if he signed a sub-market value contract and needed help. This is on them to find a way to make this work, not on him, IMO.

Trouble is, if Bell holds out for longer than 10 games, that delays his free agency for another season.
If the deals Todd Gurley and David Johnson signed are actual bellwethers, then Bell can expect anywhere between $35 and $45 million in guarantees. The problem is Le'Veon Bell wants the Steelers to pay the player, while the Steelers are willing to pay the position.

I suspect Bell shows up late this week and tries to play against the Ravens. The star players on that team, tend to have a diva quality. I would love to see them self destruct, but don't think it happens. They have a good Oline, good receivers, and Ben, who not what he once was is still good. He is the biggest diva of the group though.
Their problems may be on the defensive end.
