Holy fucking shit.  It finally happened.  Fan-fucking-tastic news.

Vamos United.  Gives me some more motivation to go to the game when they're out here in September.

And you can bet you ass there'll be 2 people flying in from So-Cal for the first regular season game there.

Oh and one big final FUCK YOU to Adrian Fenty for having the gall to come into RFK during a playoff game and make an entirely empty promise to a stadium full of DCU fans.

I've never actually been to a game, but I've heard it's a great experience.

I'm stunned by this news. I'm definitely going to go to games now.

Just this news should help pick up attendance as both the diehards and casual fans have something good, long-term to look forward too (both in general and  as people try to get season tickets for down the road when the club moves into the new stadium).

MLS has expansion in-mind, but not to Baltimore.

Yeah that's more of what I meant to clarify. I can't imagine there being a big enough market to support both DC/Baltimore soccer. I'm not sure how DCU does, but they probably need all the support they can get and can't afford to lose any of their fanbase.

Yeah, they're talking about expanding to Atlanta and Orlando and a few other places.

This is why MLS should go to its football roots and organize with the other leagues towards promotion/relegation.

We'll see. The better the club plays, the more good will among the people, as well....

Many MLS players helped the US in the Gold Cup... but that was followed by a rough showing vs. Roma.

Today, the MLS gets back to some good news as Dempsey is returning to the league.

Ugh, last night DCU gets down, on the road (what else is new?) only to battle back and even it up late in the match. So what does our defense do? Only muck things up 5 or so minutes after we equalized and give Montreal the lead right back. Kudos DeJean Jakovic, kudos. He's had a miserable season.
