Odds of them getting their stadium built before DC United does?
Any other tenants at RFK?

Move DC United to BMore, stick them in a gorgeous water-front stadium in Canton, call it a day.

They'll get the Hunter's Point stadium in DC built before Baltimore gets one finished in Canton or Westport or anywhere, unfortunately.

Reading that article, I'm getting a real "Chivas USA" vibe. And while I don't follow MLS as closely as others, I do know that's not a good feeling to have.

Chivas USA is the second team in LA. They're owned by Club Deportivo Guadalajara, or Chivas, one of the big Mexican soccer clubs. They were created in a similar fashion, as a partnership/feeder club for the main club, but they have been generally ignored by Chivas and aren't doing very well. They have finished eighth or worse for three straight seasons and only won their division once.
Unless the Yankees partnership helps with keeping some attention from Man City on the new club, I can see this going the same way.

So, DC traded 2 draft-picks for a 30 year old defender, making 6-figures, who'll take up their last "foreign player" spot. Great............
I get needing to shore up the defense, but trading picks (when we should be doing practicially everything to keep and acquire more picks) for another 6-figure defender? Again, how does Dave Kasper have a job?
Good luck to the boys against New England today.

United earned a point (Gasp, I know. Shocking!) with a 0-0 draw at New England. This time they were able to muster 1 total shot on goal. They really had no attack, at all and if it wasn't for Hamid they would've lost (what else is new?)
Seriously, Hamid has been the lone, saving-grace on this team this season.

I'm just angry that after early success (from a club history standpoint), D.C. United has been mired in irrelevancy, save a semi-inspired spurt in the mid-late 2000s. Force of habit in Washington, I guess. I'll be the first to admit I've gotten fairly apathetic, preferring to watch the Euro leagues and other sports in the Baltimore-D.C. region.

CSN Washington: United strikes new stadium deal with DC
http://www.csnwashin...stadium-deal-dc
D.C. United and Mayor Vincent Gray have reached a $300 million deal to construct a 20,000 seat stadium on Buzzard Point, near Nationals Park in Southwest D.C.
My guess is RFK's days are finally numbered. Probably the future site of a new Redskins stadium about a decade or so from now.
