I CAN'T WAIT!!! Going to actually be in Colorado on a little vacation the weekend of UFC 251, but the people we'll be with are fight fans too so I'm sure we'll be tuning in. 

 

What did you think of the Poirier-Hooker card this past weekend? I thought it was a pretty entertaining card. The main event was obviously epic. Both Hooker and Poirier are tough as nails and I wouldn't mind seeing them run into each other again down the line. Lightweight is such a crazy division!

It didn’t look great on paper, really delivered. A lot of crazy finishes, some nice third round comebacks, and the second best fight of the year to cap it off. Can’t ask for much more from a fight night.

Apparently, this has been the most-bet UFC fight since the pandemic began. Normally, I might favor Masvidal. But damn, having to lose 20 pounds in a week? I'd put my money on Usman.

-Yan is a terror. No more needs to be said.


-Halloway and Volkanovski are as evenly matched as you can get.


-Thats the best Usman can do against a guy on 6 days notice. Do what you have to do to win but the guy should be the lowest paid champion in the company. I know Im not paying to watch him fight anymore.

Yan was super impressive. Aldo brought his A game, finally bringing back his biggest weapon - the leg kick. All those body shots and leg kicks and Yan just got better as the fight went on. Can’t wait to see him against the top of the stacked bantamweight division.

Holloway was robbed. I had him winning the first four rounds. Sure 3 and 4 were close but the fight overall wasn’t IMO.

Usman is a great athlete and wrestler but a boring fighter. Would love to see how him and Khabib cancel each other out.

Love DC and Stipe. Still believe they are pretty evenly matched. DC was hitting him with big shots until Stipe dropped him to end the 2nd. That changed the tide. Great trilogy.

Covington is legit. At one time I thought he was much more talk than skill but he brings it. He managed to make an Usman fight entertaining and I expect it'll be entertaining the next time it happens too.
