I can get that idea.

But when I pull the forum up on my phone, all I have to do is hit post reply and I type my response. I assume everyone else is the same way, so I jus don't see how it's any different. I guess I would need to see it but, at the end of the day, it's hard for me to imagine it being that much different that it would cause me to go from using this site(or any site) all the time to barely using it.

You will.  It really is a big upgrade, although the mobile site here is pretty solid.

Yeah the mobile site is much better than most. But TapaTalk is insanely better.

The issue too is that most mobile browser apps just aren't that reliable. The load times, the formatting, etc. TapaTalk is a forum app. That's it's only purpose.

Based on my Tapatalk experience (which was back on OH) and the mobile site here, I don't think there's much, if any difference.

A lot of small things add up to a big improvement. Multiple forums in one app, fast load times, clean look, the way images, GIFS, videos, and links work, post replies easily without going to a separate page, etc.

It's an app I don't regret buying and would've happily paid more. How often can you say that?

And again without it I would still visit the forums, just way less. Certainly not on my lunch and bathroom breaks.

I haven't tried using a mobile web browser in a couple years, but I do remember deciding to buy the app because I was unhappy with it being kind of tricky to read and write posts on my phone.  The app was certainly tons better than the browser back then, haven't tried using the browser since so maybe there have been improvements and there isn't much difference.

Personally I don't care, I rarely visit this site when I'm not at my laptop. I'm usually just following sports on the ESPN app OR on Twitter. Whatever is best for business Chris should do, you aren't going to make everyone universally happy anyways.

So..a lot of the stuff people are talking about is how things look and are laid out.

But getting right down to actual posting...why is it easier to type in tapatalk vs the forum? (Btw, I'm not trying to be a pain here or anything...I'm genuinely asking this to know what differences there are).

To type? Typing itself isn't any different.

I haven't had any speed problems with Chrome on my phone, and the mobile skin for the site works just quite well for me.

For the guys who use Tapatalk, I would be curious how many have tried the mobile version of the forums recently, and if any would be willing to do so and list some differences?

I'll check it out. One difference already is that when navigating to the previous or next page in the thread, there is no option on the mobile site to go to the last page in the thread like in tapatalk. Minor, but annoying.

You know how in tapatalk if you quote a post which was in response to another post you'll see both quotes embedded in the post you're replying too? Not the case in the mobile site. So that's a definite plus for the site.

You can delete a post on the mobile site, but you can't on tapatalk. (You can edit your post on both)

Ok, so to actually type and post something, tapatalk does the same thing?
