The new update to tapatalk 'pro' is awful. Barely works and keeps crashing.
An update just came out to fix the "major" crash issue.

Every time I try to load it, it crashes and sends me back to my home screen.

It looks like Tapatalk had an update just recently downloaded on my phone. Seems to be working fine though.

Crashing for me on iPhone 4S all day. I see other sites are having similar issues. I'm keeping an eye on it to see if there's something we can do to get it back up or if we just have to wait for Tapatalk to resolve the problem on their side.

After posting this earlier, Tapatalk started crashing on me. I rebooted my phone and it seems to be working for now.

I'm not trying to turn this into anything more than the difference between tapatalk and just posting regularly. Nothing more than that simple question.
So, what is the difference? The way it was described to me is the tapatalk screen pops up and you type on that screen. What is the difference between that and just pulling the site up on your phone?

Chris locked the other thread, so I'm genuinely curious about something for those that like it so much.

It's hard to explain without you actually using it. It's a separate app that displays the forum through it. Works much more smoothly than the web for me.
It's why I had asked how many people saying the web was fine had ever used it, because once I switched it was a no brainer for me.

I use it because it also "houses" 2-3 other forums that I frequent on a daily basis, multiple times a day. That is the biggest perk for me. Everything is in one location.

I can get that idea.
But when I pull the forum up on my phone, all I have to do is hit post reply and I type my response. I assume everyone else is the same way, so I jus don't see how it's any different. I guess I would need to see it but, at the end of the day, it's hard for me to imagine it being that much different that it would cause me to go from using this site(or any site) all the time to barely using it.
