I agree. I was thrown off at first but quickly got used to it.

Tapatalk is fantastic. However, this new update will be an adjustment.

I hated Tapatalk 2 at first but I've grown to like it.

The new update to tapatalk 'pro' is awful. Barely works and keeps crashing.

An update just came out to fix the "major" crash issue.

I was never having the crashing issue with Tapatalk 2...... That is until the most recent update to fix the "major" crashing issues. Yeah, mine is now crashing all the time!

Is anyone's tapAtalk not working?

Every time I try to load it, it crashes and sends me back to my home screen.

It looks like Tapatalk had an update just recently downloaded on my phone. Seems to be working fine though.

Crashing for me on iPhone 4S all day.   I see other sites are having similar issues.  I'm keeping an eye on it to see if there's something we can do to get it back up or if we just have to wait for Tapatalk to resolve the problem on their side.

Seems to be working for me now. I installed the pro version to test it and that one worked. I then went back to the free version (which seems to be the newest) and it now works.

After posting this earlier, Tapatalk started crashing on me. I rebooted my phone and it seems to be working for now.

Chris locked the other thread, so I'm genuinely curious about something for those that like it so much.

I'm not trying to turn this into anything more than the difference between tapatalk and just posting regularly. Nothing more than that simple question.

So, what is the difference? The way it was described to me is the tapatalk screen pops up and you type on that screen. What is the difference between that and just pulling the site up on your phone?

It's hard to explain without you actually using it. It's a separate app that displays the forum through it. Works much more smoothly than the web for me.

It's why I had asked how many people saying the web was fine had ever used it, because once I switched it was a no brainer for me.

It's extremely fast compared to the Web. It's a ton easier to navigate because they use app like buttons/format instead of smaller Web page links which are hard to use on mobile Web browsers.

I use it because it also "houses" 2-3 other forums that I frequent on a daily basis, multiple times a day. That is the biggest perk for me. Everything is in one location.

I can get that idea.

But when I pull the forum up on my phone, all I have to do is hit post reply and I type my response. I assume everyone else is the same way, so I jus don't see how it's any different. I guess I would need to see it but, at the end of the day, it's hard for me to imagine it being that much different that it would cause me to go from using this site(or any site) all the time to barely using it.
