Due to that performance, he earned the start tonight in Kansas City.

He'll need to eat some innings, that is his job after all with a not so great weekend in terms of IPs by starters this week. If we experience a marathon game(s) and we know the O's like to play them, we will probably need to pluck pitchers out of Norfolk.Hunter is on the mound for the Birds tonight. Over his last two starts, he has gone 13 innings, allowing 12 hits, 6 er, 1 hr, 2 bb’s, with 8 k’s, and 21 grounders. Against KC, he threw just 82 pitches in his 7 innings of work. Will be interesting to see if he can again be that efficient against Boston’s patience tonight. The Red Sox knocked him around a bit on 5/6.

Want to win the first game of the series, especially after losing the home series' to Boston and KC, and facing Romero and Morrow the following two games.

It look like June 16th is the next day a 5th starter is needed.
Britton, please.

Can't stand Hunter. Britton can't get healthy fast enough.
Amen to that. I haven't see him throw a ball below waste high for a strike all season. I'm not sure what he's working on between starts. I hear the broadcast crew constantly talking about him needing to be low in the zone. So if they know it, he knows it and yet he is unable to do it. He's gotta go for now.

Baseball is such a confidence game, and it is obvious that Hunter is lacking confidence. Hunter's role may evolve to a BP guy. He needs to relax and I hear Va. Beach is a nice place to do that. It is only about a 30 minute ride to Norfolk. Can't stand Hunter. Britton can't get healthy fast enough.

I heard Rick Peterson say on 105.7 this morning say that after his next start he'd essentially be where he'd would have been at the end of Spring Training and that they would evaluate him then on where to go from there.
