There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Jack Flaherty back to the Tigers on a two-year, $35 million deal that includes an opt-out.
https://sports.yahoo...-035122668.html
According to Jeff Passan, Flaherty will be paid $25 million in 2025. If he doesn't opt out after next season, he is guaranteed $10 million for 2026, which can increase to $20 million if he starts 15 games in 2025.
Flaherty was solid last year for Detroit although he posted a 7.46 postseason ERA for the Dodgers after being dealt at the deadline. This new contract appears to be something a number of teams could have managed to put together, yet he wasn't signed until Feb. 2. Kind of makes you wonder what it is about this guy that apparently has a lot of other teams a bit spooked.

Have to remember that the Yanks nixed a deadline deal then he went to LA and was solid but nothing special in the reg season but bad in the playoffs. Seems like a fair enough deal. I would not have gone more than 2 years with him so good job by Det.

I think the guy is clearly a head case. There's literally nothing I liked about his time as an Oriole, outside of his debut.
