MLB should allow pitchers to use peptides like BPC-157 and TB-500 to aid in healing.

Sasaki to Dodgers. This is getting absurd.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

We're going to be all secretive and cryptic on who we're meeting with and who's shown interest. We're not interested in a market that already has a significant Japanese influence, we're more interested in who can develop our pitching talent.

Signs with the team that has the largest market and two biggest Japanese stars. GTFOH.

Jack Flaherty back to the Tigers on a two-year, $35 million deal that includes an opt-out.

https://sports.yahoo...-035122668.html

According to Jeff Passan, Flaherty will be paid $25 million in 2025. If he doesn't opt out after next season, he is guaranteed $10 million for 2026, which can increase to $20 million if he starts 15 games in 2025.

Flaherty was solid last year for Detroit although he posted a 7.46 postseason ERA for the Dodgers after being dealt at the deadline. This new contract appears to be something a number of teams could have managed to put together, yet he wasn't signed until Feb. 2. Kind of makes you wonder what it is about this guy that apparently has a lot of other teams a bit spooked.

Have to remember that the Yanks nixed a deadline deal then he went to LA and was solid but nothing special in the reg season but bad in the playoffs. Seems like a fair enough deal. I would not have gone more than 2 years with him so good job by Det.

He’s gotta have bad medicals for a deal like that with how he pitched last year. “Solid nothing special last year” he had a better FIP than Burnes and a 127 ERA+ 1 point behind Burnes.

I think the guy is clearly a head case. There's literally nothing I liked about his time as an Oriole, outside of his debut.

Pete Alonso is reportedly heading back to the Mets on a two-year, $54 million deal with an opt-out.
