They’ll never make a SB with this bum QB. Come on, Slide. Don’t give up now. Stick with it.
My position has not changed other than to say there are two massive obstacles now, not just one.

This is not the best, or second best, team Lamar has had, and neither of them got close to the Super Bowl. It's the NFL, each week is about health, matchups, and motivation.
Certainly not invincible, but I really think the Ravens are going to win the Super Bowl.
This was a horrible loss, and it made things harder on themselves, but I'm past my irritations of a few hours ago... on to Denver.
I'm not sure where your confidence is coming from. It's the same team with the same identity with more problems.

He just busted another nut when you quoted him.

The fact that you're trying to sell this narrative that I get off on attention when I barely post at the moment, and you post 25-50 times per day is adorable.

They didn't get close to the Super Bowl last year?
This is the best offense Lamar has ever been involved with.
Sure, this defense isn't close to previous years. I'll give you that much.

I guess it was a "so close, and yet so far" situation. They didn't get close to the Super Bowl last year?

The difference between last year's offense and this one is smaller than the difference between last year's defense and this one. This is a bottom 10 defense and that is being kind.

Ravens are still among the top 3 or 4 teams in the AFC. I expect them to have a fighters chance in January/February against anyone.
The 2012 Ravens were clearly inferior to the 2010 and 2011 version, but they got hot at the right time.

See how he finishes. Feels like he's slipping well below the rest of the league and not just below his standards.
I think you have to at least bring in a kicker to work out at this point. Tucker hasn't been real good from 50 yards for at least a year and a half. He's never had any real competition for years. If you like what you see, you sign the guy to the practice squad. Slide has a point, I don't trust Tucker to make a game winning 52 yard field goal in 15 degree KC weather in D December right now. Rather, I fully expect him to push it left and miss. I'm looking to have plan B in place this year.

I am very skeptical that someone off the street would be an improvement right now.

I would love to know what is really going on. Is it that he has to give so much effort on longer kicks that it messes with his accuracy. Is the power still in there but its all mechanical. How much is he psyching himself out at this point.
No way of proving it, but I think it's just father time starting to catch up to him and nothing related to the yips or psyching himself out.

How bad was that play call on 4th down on the opening drive? Ugh

Very Roman-like, except we can no longer blame him...

This can't be it, he's still fine on kickoffs.
It's pretty bizarre to be honest. It seems really weird that he goes from being able to hit a 66 yarder to barely being able to hit 50 yarders at a time when the rest of the league seems to view 55 and in as close to automatic. I wonder if he was nursing some injury before and he hasn't regained his leg strength.

Gotta think it's the loss of leg making 50 yarders the new 60. Though he still kicks touchbacks nearly every kickoff.I would love to know what is really going on. Could definitely become mental though. He seemed jittery yesterday, before the made FG he was complaining about some debris on the field before the kick and then there was the issue with something inside one of the K balls rattling before a kickoff. He's a strange cat so entirely possible that's just usual Tucker stuff, but also could be a sign of some mental fatigue and the frustration seeping out. It's probably a lot different for him to be out there hoping he makes a kick rather than knowing it's going in.

Yeah, anybody is capable of being spooked and eventually broken mentally. I think hes in the spooked category right now.Gotta think it's the loss of leg making 50 yarders the new 60. Though he still kicks touchbacks nearly every kickoff.

Announce crew was terrible yesterday. But they were spot on there. The best thing of having Lamar and DH on the field at the same time is you aren't sure who's getting the ball, so when you take one of the field for that play it's kind of obvious who's getting it.
