And that is why the Ravens lose games they should win. Panicking and going away from their best players.

Henry can always hit a HR. I mean he busted a 39 yard run like you said. You keep feeding him in hopes that he'll bust off another long run and wear down the defense.

Or you keep feeding him and he gets 1 or 2 yards every time and you find yourself in 3rd and long over and over. And then people start questioning why you would keep doing something that clearly isn't working.

I get it. It's their identity. Henry is still a stud that can break games open. He absolutely should get his touches as long as he's healthy. But can we please stop acting like the Ravens and Lamar are the same team that can't win by passing the ball?

Lamar is 5th in passing yards, 2nd in passing TD's, has only 2 INT's, 2nd in YPA, 1st in average air yards per attempt, 3rd in yards per completion, and 1st in QB rating. This isn't the same Ravens team that can't win by passing. They absolutely can. And they can use the passing game to set up the run game, as they have during their 5 game streak. This narrative where they should just pound the ball with Henry regardless of if it's productive or not, because Lamar can't win a game with his arm is BS. Lamar has been far and away the best QB, with his legs and his arm, this season. If teams are loading the box and clearly gunning to eliminate Henry, then Monken should 100% go to play action passing down the field and make teams pay.

It's not Lamar's ability that concerns me at all come January. It's Faalele and company, and what THEY will do against credible D units when the D knows the pass is coming. That's the root cause of what has bit them hardest in recent Januarys. No matter how good the QB, when your (for example) LG and RT both get beaten off the snap like they're standing still... bad things are gonna happen.

How has Mekari graded out? He's generally been pretty solid wherever he's plugged in on the line.

Vorhees is healthy but lost his starting gig, right? I can't imagine he was grading out worse than Faalele.

I think Mekari has been pretty solid since moving inside to LG.

Overall grade of 61.0, pass blocking grade of 71.  Mixed bag IMO since moving to LG.  Generally better at pass blocking but he's had problems with penalties.

Voorhees graded worse when he was in.  Faalele also has graded better than Voorhees.

One thing I'll say about Faalele is that he seems to have particular problems with bad matchups.  He seems to have improved generally overall but if he's facing a matchup he can't figure out he turns into a complete potato.  He needs to figure out how to lose more gracefully.  But it might be hard to do because of his body type.

Surprising that Vorhees has graded out worse than Faalele. Maybe Vorhees was helped by having Stanley and Linderbaum rather than Linderbaum and Rosengarten for Faalele.

Faalele looks better when Lamar throws less. It's as clear as day to me. Lamar throws in the 25 time range, Faalele doesn't stand out in a bad way. Lamar has to throw 35-40 range, good chance Faalele will be a conversation topic unless the DL he's facing is as equally inept.

When the run game is heavy, the OL has specific assignments and progressions basically to work through. He's big and strong enough, and if he doesn't have to think too much he can move with some quickness. Not a lot, but...

When the run game shrinks and he has to pass block more, the DL starts rushing with less concern about the run and the OL is back peddling. He's terrible in this mode. A massive liability. His decision making is slow and makes his feet slower. There's more variability in pass block than run block, and he's awful at it especially when the defense stops worrying about options (and hesitating a bit themselves).

PFF has his pass blocking rated at a 66, which is slightly above average. And his run blocking at a 56, which is below average. He's only given up 1 sack and 1 QB hit on the season. Out of our starting OL, he has the worst run blocking grade. If anything, it seems as though he's actually better when he is pass blocking.

I kinda don't care about PFF grades honestly. I watch every game myself and some of the All 22. Won't pretend to watch every snap of it, but enough. He's a massive liability in pass block when the defense knows pass is coming. Lamar saves him from "sacks allowed" but the dude contributes big time to breakdowns and pressure. Lamar saves a lot of sacks allowed of course, not just for Faalele.

And didn't mean to imply that he's a good run blocker by any means. Just that he's less of a disaster waiting to happen in the run game. Would still gladly take a replacement over him today if possible. Would love to see EDC add OL help and a CB.

Your eye test matches my opinion.

I generally love analytics, but I think PFF is largely garbage.

I have a difficult time believing that Cleveland could possibly be any worse at RG.

Lamar masks a lot of the OL issues, especially from the right side. Neither Rosengarten or Faalele have been impressive.

FWIW, Morgan Moses hasn't graded out any better than Rosengarten at a fraction of the cost.

John Simpson has graded out very good at LG, however.

Rosengarten has bad reps but he has good reps as well. Have good feeling about him going forward. Think Mekari is passable going forward at either RG or LG.

I'm not sticking up for Faalele. I think he's below average at best, and seems to be our new Tyre Phillips/James Hurst. Garbage OL that our coaching staff infuriatingly loves and refuses to admit he's not good.

With that said, I just thought it was interesting that they graded him the opposite of how you felt. I'm not going to pretend I watch what the RG is doing watching the games, outside of a replay that may show how a hole was created or how a pressure/sack was given up. This season I haven't watched much of any all-22 or breakdowns. And what I have watched has been on the defense, trying to see if guys really just forgot how to play football in one offseason, or if Orr just is lost.
