And that is why the Ravens lose games they should win. Panicking and going away from their best players.
Henry can always hit a HR. I mean he busted a 39 yard run like you said. You keep feeding him in hopes that he'll bust off another long run and wear down the defense.
Or you keep feeding him and he gets 1 or 2 yards every time and you find yourself in 3rd and long over and over. And then people start questioning why you would keep doing something that clearly isn't working.
I get it. It's their identity. Henry is still a stud that can break games open. He absolutely should get his touches as long as he's healthy. But can we please stop acting like the Ravens and Lamar are the same team that can't win by passing the ball?
Lamar is 5th in passing yards, 2nd in passing TD's, has only 2 INT's, 2nd in YPA, 1st in average air yards per attempt, 3rd in yards per completion, and 1st in QB rating. This isn't the same Ravens team that can't win by passing. They absolutely can. And they can use the passing game to set up the run game, as they have during their 5 game streak. This narrative where they should just pound the ball with Henry regardless of if it's productive or not, because Lamar can't win a game with his arm is BS. Lamar has been far and away the best QB, with his legs and his arm, this season. If teams are loading the box and clearly gunning to eliminate Henry, then Monken should 100% go to play action passing down the field and make teams pay.
