His velo was down ~2 mph when he came back, something tells me they know something. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s brought back on a 2 year deal/1 + option.

I never understood why they didnt give GOnzalez a look last year. Glad they added him to the 40 man for now.

I wouldn't worry about velocity drop from Coulombe too much, he's more reliant on changing speeds, deception, movement anyways. But, if his elbow is a ticking time bomb....

They don’t seem to like giving up free control, and this is basically like non tendering him, he’s pretty cheap. Had to be health.

What's kind of crazy is how thoroughly Elias prevents any rumors leaking out about what they might do. So as the offseason unfolds, don't let the lack of smoke imply that there isn't any fire. Stuff is going to come completely out of the blue.

Yeah we will see what happens. Was only in Sea for a year as an assistant hitting coach. As far as I know he wasnt fired either. Just took a promotion to hitting coach here.

I haven’t seen anything official but Roch tweeted Joseph was coming on as an assistant, not as the hitting coach.

Sounds like Cody Asche will be the main hitting coach and Joseph as the assistant.

Anyone interested in Travis d'Arnaud as backup catcher? Braves turned down an $8M option on him, but he'll probably get close to that. He might be able to find more regular work, he started about half the games for the Braves last year with a 103 OPS+.

He will get starter money probably. Hows his defense grade? Def interested. Have proposed a better "backup" C who can mash lefties
Anyone interested in Travis d'Arnaud as backup catcher? Braves turned down an $8M option on him, but he'll probably get close to that. He might be able to find more regular work, he started about half the games for the Braves last year with a 103 OPS+.
