I never understood why they didnt give GOnzalez a look last year. Glad they added him to the 40 man for now.

I see Olney is trying to drum up Santander to NYY and letting Soto walk.

Although we all like Tony, he's a significant downgrade from Soto. Yankees stadium might burn.

What's kind of crazy is how thoroughly Elias prevents any rumors leaking out about what they might do. So as the offseason unfolds, don't let the lack of smoke imply that there isn't any fire. Stuff is going to come completely out of the blue.

Apparently the Orioles are hiring former Seattle assistant hitting coach Tommy Joseph.
Seattle has been known for their potent offense.

Right? I know nothing of the guy, but Seattle wasn't exactly a dominant offense.

You should see how bad they would've been without this hitting coach!

So they got the guy that oversaw J-Rod turn to ash?
Cool.
No, he only assisted.

Yeah we will see what happens. Was only in Sea for a year as an assistant hitting coach. As far as I know he wasnt fired either. Just took a promotion to hitting coach here.

Anyone interested in Travis d'Arnaud as backup catcher? Braves turned down an $8M option on him, but he'll probably get close to that. He might be able to find more regular work, he started about half the games for the Braves last year with a 103 OPS+.

He will get starter money probably. Hows his defense grade? Def interested. Have proposed a better "backup" C who can mash lefties
