Balt Sun: The Orioles have placed starter Zach Eflin, perhaps their best pitcher since he was acquired at the trade deadline, on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation, the club announced Tuesday. Rookie Cade Povich has been recalled from Triple-A Norfolk to take his place on the roster.

Eflin was such a solid addition. So glad we have his stability for next year.

Sounds right. But I'm basing that on last season. I'm not sure how he's been pitching in ST, for what that's worth.
Good news! I saw a dog today.

At some point with THIS many injuries you start looking for the piece in common outside of coincidence. Shoulders AND elbows. But it's just too many people down to be just bad luck.

Nah, this is not an Orioles issue. Far from the worst injury luck in the league. This is just pitching in this era of baseball. At some point with THIS many injuries you start looking for the piece in common outside of coincidence. Shoulders AND elbows. Rays and Dodgers are the first teams that come to mind with pitcher injuries.
Means, Bradish, Greyson, Suarez, McDermott, Wells, Rogers, Columbe, Elfin x2, Bautista, Tate.
Now, Bautista and Tate were the first, and from the year before so I prob shouldn't count them, but it did happen. Rogers is a knee thing, wouldn't be connected to any arm issues. And Grey hasn't had to shut down for surgery yet, but HAS had to shut down twice, and it's probably coming sooner or later.
That's a LOT of coincidence. My first thought was Driveline. Dodgers are known to work with them too, but mostly hitters. BUT their pitching coordinator DID use to work for them.
I dunno. It's just a LOT of pitchers from one team going down for elbow and shoulder injuries. Dodgers could be more, I think White Sox have a lot too, they also have a deep connection to Driveline.
