Burnes has been pretty outspoken about his desire to test FA. Certainly a better chance new ownership signs him next offseason than previous ownership.

Didn't he have a falling out with Milwaukee due to an arbitration hearing?

He might feel differently with a team he feels truly values him.

We gave up a guy who will never start for us...good LH arm, but will never start....we gave up a guy who will be good IMO, but is in a logjam in the infield, and a "who knows what you're gonna get witht he 34th pick..."  I'll gladlly take Burnes!!!!!  Thank you Milwaukee!!!!

Burnes is the best possible rotation addition for 2024. Wish he had more than a year, but I'd take him over even Yamamoto considering he's done it so many times before. This is terrific.

Wish we'd done better than Kimbrel, but great work by Elias.

I mean Im positive we arent getting an extension done. He will test FA and likely leave. Though now its not a complete lock he will leave
