No doubt...you are also paying him more than any back up in the league.
But whether he stays as the starter or not is far from a certainty right now.
He'll be the starter until Brees comes back, barring injury.

Not if he is as terrible as he has shown.
If that happens, their season is over before Brees gets back.
They need to stay afloat until then. Bridgewater playing like he has will have them lose a lot of games.
They travel to Seattle next week and have Dallas the following week. After that they have Tampa at home and travel to Jax. They also travel to the Bears before likely getting him back.
That's a tough schedule even if Brees is playing. If they lose this week and Bridgewater looks terrible and doesn't show improvement, I would guess they go to Hill against Dallas.

Teddy was pretty solid in preseason. Hard to judge yesterday but he didn't look good for sure. But then he was playing the Rams in LA and hard to beat 11 rams and 7 zebras.
Us Saints fans are getting pretty tired of the continual blatant bad calls.
The slight good news is that the division looks to be down a bit this year so if they can just keep their heads above water till late around November 1st we will still have a playoff shot.

If they can keep their heads above water and make the playoffs, the time off for Brees may be a blessing in disguise.
What I will say is that this likely ends their chances for getting a bye.

So in other words, they have to go 4-4 until Brees comes back. It is possible considering their schedule in the next 6 games. Already said as much.

But they won't go 4-4 IF Tedy keeps playing like this.
He has to improve and improve quickly. They aren't going to give him a long leash.

He came into a game as the backup against a great defense on the road.
He'll play better.

Well that's the hope. They obviously believe in him or they wouldn't have paid him what they did.
But they also believe in Hill and if Bridgewater struggles, I don't think the leash will be long.

Taysum is good but his value is much more as a jack of all trades player than to actually take the reigns as the QB.

Well I didn't think we'd escape Seattle with a W but one week into the span without Drew and we are 1-0.
Geuax Saints!!!

Yeah that’s a solid signing. But they are still weak in the referee position.

With the 24th pick, the Saints take Cesar Ruiz, C, Michigan.
