They look amazing. And the defense has been dominant too. It's amazing what can happen when you focus on your running game, isn't it?

This might be the best team in the NFC. Especially if they can get HFA. They already lost to NE at home, but that was a long time ago. This is a much better team right now.

I wonder if their defense is really that good or if they've just played a lot of offenses that are in shambles. Either way I think the defense is vastly superior to past seasons, but I don't know if they are really top-5 or top-10 unit or if they are just decent. Decent to good defense, good running game, and Drew Brees is a scary combination.

They've allowed 29, 36, and 38 points to the Vikings (#10 offensive ppg), Patriots (#4) and Lions (#6).
They've allowed 13, 0, 17, 12, 10, and 10 to the Panthers (#17), Dolphins (#32), Packers (#14 overall, top-10 average w/ Rodgers, bottom-10 average w/o, Saints played them w/o), Bears (#28), Bucs (#22), and Bills (#20).

The MIN game was the first of the season. Much has changed since then.

NE is NE...but I expect a different outcome if they play that game in NOLA again today.

The DET game is the one that is crazy. The Saints were up big and may have let off the gas pedal on defense. Still, the defense scored 3 TD and they also allowed a TD on special teams and Brees threw a pick 6 so the point total is skewed a bit.

That's a good defense.

They can definitely get there. Beating NE is another question.
