Another LHP, probably gotta roll with the exact same lineup as today.

Urias is 5 for 17 vs. Montgomery.

 

Santander 5 for 15.

 

Mountcastle 5 for 18.

 

Mullins 6 for 24. 

 

Hays 4 for 22.

Mateo, Frazier, O'Hearn, Kjerstad, and McCann aren't starting. Of course, Hyde will probably pinch hit Frazier by the 3rd inning, O'Hearn in the 4th, lose Mateo with a double switch, and have McCann catching in the 8th.

Really need Rodriguez to be dominant and have a huge game. Probably won't get a ton of run support.

Taking Westburg out in the 4th was pretty bad. The rest were good with me. And I hate Hyde. Would love to pile on even more

Agreed. Putting Frazier in there made it harder to use Mateo properly later.

Obviously close to as a must win as they'll have all year. They've rebounded from losses well all season. Win this one and go to Texas tied up.

Gonna go out on a limb here. I think I'd start Mateo in place of Urias. I just don't see us scoring many runs and it gives me more shots at having Mateo on base to make something happen?

Urias disappointed me this year. He's cheap and I'd keep him around for his versatility but his days getting somewhat regular ABs have to be about over.

Urias is 5 for 17 vs Montgomery. That prob gets him the start but I see the logic in hoping Mateo could somehow get on base and jumpstart something offensively.

Not if you are going to keep Joey Ortiz. Somebody has to go. Stupid to keep Ortiz in Norfolk any longer. Use him or trade him.

Urias did a decent job. He hit .264 which was one of their better averages and he'll give you solid defense. The question is, will Ortiz be any better?

Only appearance this year against Texas Rodriguez got slammed.  3.1 innings, 8 earned runs.  That was before he got sent down to the minors.  After coming back he has been much better.  Need him to come through big tomorrow.  Can't go down 0-2 heading to Texas.
