The draft pick signing drama that sticks with me most was Ben McDonald. At first his dad was acting as his agent, and apparently making some unreasonable demands, and quickly became Baltimore's #1 villain. While it was going on Ben and his dad actually attended an O's game and when they showed a closeup of Ben on the Jumbotron the crowd cheered....then as soon as you saw his pop sitting next to him everyone booed.

 

Where it really got weird is when Ben finally hired an agent to try and get a deal done. O's fans everywhere were so relieved. That agent? Scott Boras (lol). Still, the deal got done and Ben made the bigs quickly enough to start the season finale.

The more I look at this draft, the more I think the analytics suggested draft guys related to food.

Per Roch on twitter, everyone has signed except Baumeister (CB), Forret (14th), Lott (15th), Witt (18th), and Ritchie (19th). Lott and Witt have said they are not signing. No bonuses listed for anybody.

Im also assuming you get compensation if you dont sign a competitive balance pick. Not sure why that woud be different than not signing a guy in round 2 or 3
