At this point draft position isnt changing much. At least not for anyone paying attention. It did make his ascent longer for some national guys. We also have to remember hes a corner guy. 3b, 1b or RF. That will limit him somewhatHow would we be viewing Mayo if he were a 1st round pick? Dude had a 1.026 OPS at AA as a 21 year old.
He may not be that far off from Holliday, honestly.

Btw think Holliday's progression may slow a bit in the upper levels. Physically he isnt ready yet. Just my opinion. That doesnt mean hes not going to remain a top prospect but I kinda see a slower ascention from this point. How would we be viewing Mayo if he were a 1st round pick? Holliday
Cowser
Mayo
Westburg
Kjerstad
Ortiz
Basello
Bradfield
Norby
Beavers
Interesting looking at the lists you and Bob submitted. There is so much talent, I think there are names on here where a reasonable case can be made for Guys like Cowser, Mayo Kjerstad and Westburg to all slot at 2 behind JH. The top 5 is very rich.

Yes Im sure most fall short of the Top 100 initially. Id heavily bet Bradfield will too. That said, we have to keep in mind this was considered one of if not the best draft classes in a long time becauase so many kids went to college in 2020. Only 5 rounds remember.Yeah I'm on board with this take, too.
Holliday's on another planet. Mayo is trending towards the top-half of top-100. Kjerstad and Ortiz are a tier down as 2nd half of top-100 guys. I don't think Bradfield quite cracks that tier, but it'll be interesting to see how scouts rank him. I wanna go see where middle of 1st round guys usually fall, I'd imagine that many/most are short of the initial top-100.
Could you imagine where Mayo would be if he were draft eligible. Obviously you cant assume he develops at Florida like he did in our system but at this point you can look at it as having a Top 5 pick in this draft. Def wise to save that money on Kjerstad.

FWIW, Fangraphs mid year board had 8 draftees in the top 108 last year, 6 in the top 78 in 2021. #17 making it would seem very unusual.

But the most important thing is that he has already won a championship with Coby Mayo. (In 11U)

Come on guys, lets not be beholden to silly criteria. Westburg and Cowser have graduated! Also more fun to discuss the last few guys than the top few right now. More names involved. Really impressive for the top-10 to remain so deep.
Ok if you take them out:
1. Jackson Holliday
2. Coby Mayo
3. Joey Ortiz
4. Heston Kjerstad
5. Samuel Basallo
6. Connor Norby
7. Case Povich
8. Enrique Bradfield Jr.
9. Jud Fabian
10. DL Hall
And just for fun:
11. Cesar Prieto
12. Dylan Beavers
13. Seth Johnson
14. Chayce McDermott
15. Creed Willems

So Grayson Rodriguez has fallen out of everyone’s Top 10 to 15?
That’s a shame.
I think he graduated.

Then DL Hall “graduated”. And Ortiz for that matter.

So the Orioles just happen to be videotaping Elias walking back into the draft room when Bradfield called him and released the exchange on Twitter.

Correct, but Mackus requested a list without him and Westburg because they've basically graduated. It would be surprising if they go back down again IMO. It could happen though.
Grayson spent more than 45 days on the roster so he graduated.
Ortiz and Hall have not graduated and it isn't at all clear when they will be up again so they should stay on prospect lists.

I didn’t know the exact days, which I thought would be more like innings than days for a pitcher anyway, was thinking G-Rod being up then back down was still in prospect status.

45 days or 50 innings/130 at bats.

Probably true. He is still just 19 years old, he is still a kid. I was a little surprised they moved him to AA so soon, but he did earn it.

Fast start (pun intended) for Bradfield.
18 games across 2 levels and 19 steals. (with on on-base over .500)
