And Im someone who hates the way Hyde manages in game. I just can at least understand using a Perez or Givens in that spot.
I guess you coulda started with Baumann or Coulombe. Think he prefers to use those guys when ahead but only down 1 you sometimes gotta use lower lev guys in those spots too. Perez did get a bit unlucky. Weak chopper and then he dis keep the ball on the ground though the grounders were hit hard

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

How about scoring 11 runs in the last 4 games plus so far today? Looks like a slump to me.
8 runs in 3 games against Texas and shutout today. 2 of those runs were gifted down 5-1 in the 9th. But if you say they're slumping it's ROFL.

Thats Voth and Givens. Actually Voth has been much better this month. So Im down with the last 2 guys being Givens and Perez.
Perez right now needs to be the teams human victory cigar

What was 5 of 6 on the road immediately before losing 3 of 4. Using a last 10 which is something youll find next to every standings is a good baseline. They are 6-4 in the last 10. So you wanna start another 10 with the first Rangers game thats fine but you got 6 more games to wait.
Ok 10 games is your min stretch for which to say its a slump or not. At least you answered the question.

Offense definitely struggled vs Texas and obviously blanked today. The bats are slumping.
Don't worry, they're a top 10 offense. SMH

Givens doesn't seem to have any control or command right now.

I bet I could find stretch where the '27 Yankees scored 8 runs in 3 games. I know I could without looking it up. Its that fucking obvious that these things happen in baseball
So? I suspect if the 27 Yankees only scored 8 runs in 3 games that their fans would have been talking about a slump.l And its only 2 innings from 8 runs in 4 games. But ok don't call it a slump. Just call it a downturn. Slice it anyway you want the result is its not been good.

I mean if you lose 5 or 6 in a row you could call that a slump but again what is the best record youre gonna have after 10 if you lose 5 or 6 in a row. 5-5 or 4-6 which means you followed up the "slump" with a what?? Hot streak?? I dont think a cold streak or cool streak is as severe as a slump. Slump implies an extended amount of time
Ok 10 games is your min stretch for which to say its a slump or not. At least you answered the question.
