Both teams playing this like its gonna be a low-scoring game (sac bunt, infield in with 2 in scoring position). Don't think I agree with either side emphasizing the next run quite so much, but it is interesting.

100 %. He went through the whole spiel about Sale getting Ks and swings and misses all year and now he really thinks he was tipping tonight. He was using "tipping his pitches" as a subtle callout. He got called out on it and has to go the literal route to try to save face. The whole whining about Sale getting swings and misses all year tells you he didnt really think it was on Sale.
